NJ App Development (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information through our website, the apps and services we operate, and inquiries about independent app and website development projects. The information collected depends on the app, feature, or service you use. If a particular app provides an additional privacy notice, please read it together with this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information when you create or use an account, sign in, enter your email address, complete a form, contact us, or request development services. This may include your name, email address, phone number, account information, and information you choose to provide about your project or request.

When you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive information made available by that provider based on the sign-in permissions and your settings. This may include your name, email address, and an account identifier used to recognize your account. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email option, we may receive a private relay email address instead of your personal email address. Phone numbers are collected when you provide them or authorize their disclosure; they are not necessarily provided by Apple or Google sign-in.

Optional forms, support requests, bug reports, feedback, waitlists, beta signups, promotions, giveaways, and promo code requests may also include information you submit, such as a username, device details, screenshots, or support details. Participation in these activities is voluntary. Some account or service information may be necessary to provide a feature you request.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage your account.

• Provide and operate the app or website features and services you request.

• Respond to inquiries, support requests, bug reports, and feedback.

• Discuss, plan, build, and support independent app and website development projects you request.

• Communicate with you about your account, requested services, or development project.

• Manage optional activities you choose to participate in, such as beta signups, waitlists, giveaways, or promo code requests.

• Maintain and improve the functionality and reliability of our apps and services.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information with others for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

We disclose personal information only as needed to fulfill the purpose of the app, website, feature, or development service you request. This can include processing by service providers that support functions such as authentication, hosting, data storage, and service communications, or disclosure needed to carry out a feature you choose to use. The information involved depends on the service being provided.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or valid legal process.

Third-Party Platforms and Services

Our website is hosted on Squarespace. Apple, Google, Squarespace, app stores, and other platforms you interact with may process information under their own privacy policies. For example, platform services may handle sign-in, downloads, purchases, subscriptions, or payments. Their handling of information is separate from our use of information described in this policy.

When you sign in through Apple or Google, we still collect and use the account information those providers make available to us as described above.

Your Choices and Privacy Requests

You can choose not to submit optional information, although some features or services require certain information to function. To ask about the information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion of your personal information or account, email privacy@njappdevelopment.com. Please identify the relevant app, website, or project. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Requests are subject to applicable legal requirements.

Children’s Privacy

CleanRoute and our business-service inquiry forms are intended for adults. Homework First is different: it is a parent-managed service with child profiles. The person who creates the family account is its organizer. Child profiles are linked to that family, and authorized parents or guardians can see the child’s assignments, submissions, feedback, and app-control status. Children should not create organizer accounts or provide unnecessary identifying information. Parents should use a nickname rather than a full name and ensure that homework photos exclude names, faces, school IDs, addresses, and other private details.

Security

We handle personal information using reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or privacy practices. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying changes.

CleanRoute information and features

CleanRoute processes account identifiers, email addresses, selected sign-in methods, and the information you enter about cleaning work: client names, service addresses, dates, quoted hours and prices, extras, job status, payment status, notes, and edit history. Pending changes may be stored on your device while offline. We use this information to save and sync jobs, calculate and display quotes and earnings, resolve offline conflicts, maintain history, and provide purchased features. Enter client information only when you have authority to do so. Do not store door codes, financial account details, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Firebase provides account authentication and cloud data storage. Apple and Google process sign-in when you choose those options. Apple Maps processes address searches, suggestions, validation, and directions you request. Apple handles purchases; we receive transaction identifiers and entitlement or subscription status, not payment card details. CleanRoute does not collect payments from your cleaning clients. We do not sell client or job data or use it for targeted advertising.

Homework First information and family access

We process parent account information; family and child account identifiers; child nicknames and parent-provided age bands; optional contact information; guardian invitations; pairing and administration records; assignments and parent notes; homework images or imported pages you choose to submit; recognized text; AI or parent review results; appeals; assignment history; usage counts; purchase status; and device authorization or app-control acknowledgements. Push notification tokens are processed when notifications are enabled. Only enter information needed for the requested homework and family features.

Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity features apply restrictions on the authorized device. App selections use Apple's privacy-preserving tokens and local system controls; we do not receive the contents of other apps, messages, browser history, or a hardware serial number. A parent may see app-control status and issue commands supported by the app, but this does not provide covert access to a phone.

Firebase processes account, family, homework, and storage records to operate the service. Where a parent enables eligible AI review, homework images, recognized text, assignment instructions, and necessary review context are sent to OpenAI to generate feedback; input and output safety checks may also process that content. OpenAI's API data-handling rules and safety exceptions apply. We request non-stored Responses API processing, but that setting alone does not provide Zero Data Retention. Zero Data Retention has not been approved for this service, and we do not claim it is enabled. Under-13 AI processing remains disabled; available parent review does not send homework to the AI for grading.

Parents' choices and children's information

A parent or legal guardian must authorize a child profile and its use. Where applicable law requires verifiable parental consent, it must be obtained before collecting, using, or disclosing a child's personal information beyond a legally permitted exception. Creating an account, choosing an age band, or checking a box is not by itself a claim that legally sufficient verification has occurred. Do not use a false age band to bypass child protections. We do not condition participation on collecting more information than reasonably necessary for the feature, sell children's information, or use it for targeted advertising.

Parents can review family records, update a child's profile, turn off AI permission, remove invited guardians where authorized, and request deletion. Use the available child removal and account deletion controls or contact privacy@njappdevelopment.com with the app name and your request. You may ask to review or delete your child's information or refuse further collection or use. We verify parental authority before disclosing or changing child records. Refusing necessary processing may make the related feature unavailable. If information was collected from a child without required authorization or consent, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as required.

Retention, deletion, and security records

CleanRoute job and account records are retained while needed for your account and requested business features. You can delete jobs and request account deletion in the app. Homework First retains assignment history and family settings to provide the parent's requested history and management features until removed or no longer needed. Review photos expire after 24 hours and are removed by scheduled cleanup; an expired photo may remain in restricted storage until that cleanup completes. Approved submissions are not retained as review photos. Safety-event records have a 30-day expiry and scheduled cleanup. Temporary processing and third-party retention are separate from these app-storage periods.

Deleting a child profile or family account initiates removal of associated records and review photos, subject to completion of device disconnection and any necessary cleanup retries. Account suspension is not deletion. Records needed for unresolved support, billing, security incidents, legal obligations, or disputes may be retained only for that purpose and as long as needed; provider backups and logs follow provider retention schedules. Uninstalling an app does not delete the cloud account or cancel a subscription.

To prevent account abuse and ban evasion, supported app versions may associate app-generated installation identifiers, Apple-provided vendor identifiers, push tokens, or platform integrity signals with an account. We use available identifiers for security and service operation, not advertising or tracking across other companies' apps. We may store one-way hashes of identifiers and time-limited restriction records. A device association can affect all accounts using that installation; contact us to appeal an error or report a device transfer. Ordinary iOS apps cannot obtain hardware serial numbers or IMEIs, and we do not claim to collect them or guarantee permanent device recognition.

Website, support, and international processing

Squarespace hosts this website and processes site visits and cookies under its published practices and the choices presented on the site. Support messages, optional bug reports, attachments, and forms may contain contact details, app or operating-system versions, and information you choose to send. Avoid including a child's identifying information or other sensitive material unless needed to resolve your request. Service providers may process data in the United States and other locations where they operate. We use access controls and reasonable safeguards, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

For access, correction, deletion, portability, consent withdrawal, or other privacy requests available under the law where you live, contact Nicholas JONES, NJ App Development, at privacy@njappdevelopment.com. We may verify identity and authority and will respond as required by applicable law. We do not penalize you for exercising protected privacy rights. An app-specific notice supplements this policy; a later update will not authorize an incompatible use of children's information without required notice and consent.

Age ranges and contact addresses

Homework First requests Apple’s declared age range on a child device to distinguish under-13s, ages 13–17, and adults. We use the minimum returned range, eligibility status, and check time to apply child-device and AI rules. We do not request an exact birthdate or identity document through this feature. The device may cache the range for up to 24 hours, with periodic rechecks; the server stores the resulting age band and eligibility expiry. Apple controls sharing and may cache declared ranges. A parent-selected age band alone is not proof of age or verifiable parental consent. Declined or unavailable sharing cannot establish child eligibility. Other apps and commissioned websites do not automatically collect this Homework First age-range information.

These aliases are handled by NJ App Development through its Google Workspace account. The general privacy policy covers our services; app-specific sections describe only the named app. A commissioned website or application may be operated by its client under the client’s own privacy notice and our applicable service agreement.
